  Diaphragm steel pressure tank

The 'HydroPress' design concept of a pre-pressurized, sealed-in air charge in a tank, was invented by Amtrol. Its revolutionary design has broadened into the industry's largest selection of pressure control device.

Contrary to traditional belief, the primary function of the pressure tank in a water system is not to store useable water. It is a pressure control...providing the means of operating a domestic water system to meet system demand at a desirable operating pressure range.

Specifically, the 'HydroPress'...
• Deliver adequate water under pressure between pump cycles to meet demand.
• Provides economical system operation by minimising pump starts, extending pump motor life, and saving energy.
• Assist the pump in meeting peak demand.

  Brazed-in airtight valve
(Not mechanically threaded) with a temper-proof warning label

  'Pressure support'
Deep-drawn steel domes for extra strength (twice the strength of rolled steel). Exclusive welding process eliminates interior rough spots and sharp edges, and prevents damage to diaphragm and liner

  Pre-pressurised, sealed-in air chamber

  Appliance-like enamel finish
Laboratory tested, two-coat urethane finish is superior to baked-on enamel or conventional paint. Resistant to sunlight & corrosive atmosphere for outdoor installations. Aesthetically pleasing

  Butyl diaphragm
Isolates water from air. Material complies with various international agencies' requirements for use with potable water

  100% Non-metallic reservoir

  Separate, rigid polypropylene liner
This liner coupled with acceptance fitting provide a rigid water reservoir that is 100% corrosion resistance

  Water-tight, silver-brazed system connection

  Steel support stand
Time-proven durable steel support stand. Rugged, rigid suspension with ample ventilation to eliminate under tank moisture

'HydroPress' has a sealed-in air chamber that is pre-pressurised before it leaves the factory. Air and water do no! mixed eliminating any chance of 'waterlogging' through loss of air to system water

When the pump starts, water enters the 'HydroPress' as system pressure passes the minimum pressure precharge. Only usable water is stored.

When the pressure in the chamber reaches maximum system pressure, the pump stops. The 'HydroPress' is filled to

When water is demanded, pressure in the air chamber forces water into the system. Since 'HydroPress' tank does not waterlog and consistently delivers the maximum usable water, minimum pump starts are assured.
