The Surabaya office was set up in 1995 to expand our reach into the region. Surabaya, the second largest industrial city in Indonesia has a wide spectrum of industrial requirements for pumps used in fertilizer, paper, food and chemical processing industries. There is also a good potential for building services pumping systems with the still developing construction market there.       Singapore's close proximity to Batam has been an advantage to Asiatic. Asiatic becomes a convenient source of pumping equipment for the vast industrial market there. We are able to supply more than just readily available equipment from our Singapore warehouse, but when necessary, we are able to dispatch engineers to site very quickly. As such, setting up an office in Batam to put our services at the pump users' doorstep is logical move.
